Chrysalis

Chrysalis

Tucked in
bound in
the sticky goo of thoughtlessness
I hear the world
and I twitch

Tied in young
swinging
punched one way
then another
my bruises swell
and grow

and I grow
the wounds become talons
fangs
finally
wings

and I stretch
scratch
rip
through
and
out

The world hears me now
and twitches

  3. This is very powerful and I love the repetition of the twitch and the reversal. Thank you. I will be looking forward to more.
