Dark Buddha

Dark Buddha

A forbidden Buddha from an alien land
with an unmonkish fever for flesh
casting spells with a  voice hinting of a foreign tongue
draped in robes of flowing intellectuality
and satin humor
He enters on rice paper
walking softly
always of even step
His form, smooth hardness,
as a bark less tree
with a familiar tattoo seared upon his skin
and a gaze
that of an iced sky
with a sun warm with wit

He whispers to me of his religion
the joining of beings in worshipful pleasure to attain
passionate enlightenment
entwining spirits and minds
within merging bodies
the lustful sacrament of connection
to the sacred All
